YTU's Racing Team delivered 1,150 kg of accumulated recyclable waste from their garage to Exitcom Recycling, a trusted partner in waste management. This initiative not only reduced environmental impact but also contributed to the circular economy by ensuring valuable materials are returned to production cycles.
The collaboration emphasized the importance of responsible waste management, protection of natural resources, and student-led environmental action. Through such practices, the university community actively fosters awareness of sustainability and promotes eco-friendly behaviors among students and stakeholders.
This activity demonstrates YTU’s contribution to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by supporting sustainable resource use, reducing waste, and engaging with industry partners for environmental responsibility.
