On 3 December 2024, Yıldız Technical University held an academic seminar featuring Emeritus Prof. Dr. Salim Hiziroglu from Oklahoma State University, specializing in Natural Resource Ecology and Management. During the session at YTU's Beşiktaş Campus, Prof. Hiziroglu delivered three talks: “Lignocellulosic Products Research at Oklahoma State University: An International Perspective”, “Some Suggestions on How to Organize Your Career”, and “Graduate Study in the USA.”
The seminar provided valuable insights into advanced biomass and lignocellulosic material research, shared international research approaches, and offered strategic guidance on academic career planning and graduate studies abroad. The activity supported students’ academic development, global research awareness, and international mobility aspirations, while strengthening academic ties between YTU and Oklahoma State University.
