The “Aleppo: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow” exhibition, prepared by Faculty of Architecture member Dr. Mahmoud Zayn El Abidin, was opened at Gebze Technical University Congress and Culture Centre on 13 March 2025. Realised with the support of GTU Cultural Heritage Preservation Application and Research Centre and ICOMOS Turkey, the event was followed by a seminar delivered by Dr. Zayn El Abidin titled 'The Current State of Historical Monuments in the City,' examining the present condition of Aleppo's war-damaged architectural heritage and ongoing conservation challenges.
