“Art Under the Stars”: Partridge and Crane

The first event of the “Art Under the Stars” series, organised in collaboration with Yıldız Technical University and YTU Yıldız Technopark, was held at the Historic Hamam. In the programme addressing the themes of the partridge and crane, symbols of grace and longing in Turkish folk culture, an academic perspective, poetry, and a music recital were brought together. Within the event, faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Letters examined the symbolic place of these motifs in folk literature, while students and academics from the Faculty of Art and Design presented a recital of thematic folk songs. At this organisation, in which Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik emphasised the responsibility of carrying cultural heritage into the future, the series is planned to continue on a monthly basis throughout the academic year.
