Clean Energy Research under the TÜBİTAK–MSRT Bilateral Cooperation Program

A research project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hadi Genceli from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University has been selected for funding under the bilateral cooperation program established between TÜBİTAK and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) of Iran. The project focuses on the development and optimization of a Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzer (PEMWE), a key technology for sustainable hydrogen production. Combining design optimization, numerical modeling, and experimental validation, the study aims to improve hydrogen production efficiency through the optimization of flow channel configurations within the electrolyzer system. By contributing to the advancement of green hydrogen technologies, the project is expected to support the transition toward low-carbon energy systems and provide scientific input for Türkiye’s 2053 net-zero emissions targets.
