Dr. Fazıl Kayıkçı, a faculty member of the Department of Economics at Yıldız Technical University, is leading the ECONENGIN project (Economic Engineering), which has been awarded funding under the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures call. Yıldız Technical University is the sole applicant and coordinator of the project.The project aims to design an innovative master’s program in the emerging field of Economic Engineering. The program will equip students with contemporary techniques such as quantitative economics, econometrics, big data analytics, and machine learning, aiming to train a highly skilled workforce for both academia and industry.By integrating engineering methods with economic principles, this interdisciplinary approach will enable engineers and technical professionals to contribute more effectively to economic evaluation and decision-making processes.The ECONENGIN program will be developed in collaboration with University of Zurich, WSB University, University of Minho, WSGE University, Centro Universitario Integrado, and the University of Johannesburg, under the coordination of Yıldız Technical University.
