On 2 April 2024, the Chemical Technologies Club organized its second technical knowledge session of the semester, featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Tahir Günkara, Head of the Günkara Research Group. The program offered students a guided laboratory tour, during which they explored current research projects in organic chemistry and gained valuable insights into advanced scientific methodologies. Dr. Günkara, who completed his undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in chemistry at Yıldız Technical University, shared his academic journey, international research experiences, and perspectives on interdisciplinary collaboration in chemistry, cosmetics, and food sciences. His presentation not only highlighted pathways for scientific excellence but also inspired students to pursue impactful careers in both academia and industry.
