Exploring the Science of Light: “Astronomy 101.5” Held at YTU

Before the launch of Astronomy 102, YTU offered an introductory session titled “Astronomy 101.5” focusing on the science of light. The session provided students with a foundational understanding of the visible spectrum, wave properties, and stellar temperatures, linking theoretical knowledge with everyday observations such as fire color changes and solar phenomena. By making complex astrophysical concepts accessible, the activity fostered scientific curiosity and strengthened early-stage academic engagement in astronomy.
