The Faculty of Architecture honoured students who placed in prestigious design competitions organised at national and international level throughout 2024. As a global reflection of the faculty's design-oriented education vision, 25 students achieved 18 different placements individually or in team work across 16 different competitions, 5 of them international. Notable achievements: Ahmet Hilmi Yılmaz and Batuhan Seçkin (First Prize, Designing with Thought in the Republic's Centenary); Cem Aydın (2nd Award) and Güzin Güliz Özdil (3rd Award, ESRI Turkey Young Scholars); Hümeyra Kanıtoğlu (Equivalent Honourable Mention, Archiprix Turkey 2023); Gülşah Andıç, Kağan Şengün, Özkan Durman (2nd Prize, AI Architecture Competition 'Artificial Nature 2'); Melek Serra Saral and team (3rd Prize, Kharkiv Housing Challenge, Norman Foster Foundation); Yağmur Ayaydın (1st Prize, Erkut 1935 Entrance Spaces Competition).
