A pioneering study conducted by the Glass Research Group of Yıldız Technical University has attracted significant international attention after being published in Light: Science & Applications, a prestigious journal within the Nature Portfolio with an impact factor of 20.6. The research, titled “Full-Color Dynamic Volumetric Displays with Tunable Upconversion Emission from RE³⁺-Doped Glasses,” presents a revolutionary approach to laser-based three-dimensional volumetric display technologies. By utilizing rare-earth-ion-doped glasses and advanced laser modulation techniques, the researchers successfully developed durable, scalable, and full-color 3D display systems. The study represents a major advancement in volumetric display technology and demonstrates the potential of innovative photonic materials for next-generation visualization applications.
