The project is coordinated by Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom, with five additional institutions from Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Thailand, and Malaysia forming the consortium.
Ice-Link aims to collaboratively investigate freeze casting techniques for advanced porous materials by integrating modern data sharing, experimental studies, and computational modeling. By focusing on cooling processes, the project will develop predictive models supported by systematic data and machine learning to create porous systems with customizable porosity levels.
Through dynamic collaborations and cutting-edge modeling techniques, Ice-Link will pioneer advanced technologies and redefine the frontiers of materials science.
