Innovative Biomaterial Development Project Supported under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program

A research project led by Prof. Dr. Sevil Yücel from the Department of Bioengineering, Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, has been funded under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program. The project, entitled “Production of an Injectable Composite Dermal Filler Containing Triple-Ion-Doped Bioactive Glass (Se, Sr, and B) and Hyaluronic Acid,” aims to develop and characterize an innovative biomaterial for biomedical applications. The study focuses on the production of a novel injectable composite dermal filler incorporating bioactive glass, hyaluronic acid, and selenium (Se), strontium (Sr), and boron (B) ions to enhance biological performance. The therapeutic properties and cellular effects of the developed material in subcutaneous applications will be evaluated through in vitro studies. By advancing biocompatible and locally developed biomaterials, the project seeks to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions and regenerative medicine applications.
