On 22–23 October 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University organized the first edition of the Mechanical Engineering Cooperative Days (KOOP Days) at the Beşiktaş Campus Auditorium.
The event opened with remarks from Dean Prof. Dr. Zehra Yumurtacı and brought together leading companies from the automotive, manufacturing, defense, aset, textile, and technology sectors, including Anadolu Isuzu, BEKO, EDAG, STM, LC Waikiki, Tümosan, Systemair, Putzmeister, and others.
Throughout the two-day program, participating companies delivered presentations and hosted information stands, introducing internship and cooperative education opportunities to YTU students. The event enabled direct engagement with industry leaders, provided insights into engineering career pathways, and strengthened university–industry collaboration for applied learning and workforce development.
This initiative enhanced students’ employability, supported experiential learning, and reinforced YTU’s cooperative education model, contributing to a stronger bridge between academic education and industry-based professional practice.
