SADIT-MAR International Project

The YTU Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime is leading the international 'SADIT-MAR' project targeting secure digital transformation in the maritime sector. Initiated under the supervision of Dr. Serdar Turgut İnce and with the support of Lloyd's Register, this project builds a transcontinental academic network focused on data science, cybersecurity, and digitalisation. Bringing together leading European institutions including University College London, Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), and the University of Rostock, alongside prestigious partners from Mexico and Malaysia, the collaboration aims to produce interdisciplinary solutions that will shape the future of the maritime industry and pioneer the development of global digital standards.

The YTU Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime hosted the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Centre (MAM) delegation within the scope of the 'Maritime Sector Technology Roadmap Research Project,' supported by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (UDHAM). Within the framework of this strategic project initiated on 1 August 2025, productive discussions were conducted on cooperation opportunities and R&D work that can be carried out with the faculty on the future of maritime technologies.
