Success in the Urban Design Competition

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning within the Faculty of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University achieved remarkable success in the “Bursa Setbaşı–Yeşil–Emirsultan Historical Axis Urban Design Ideas Competition” by receiving two separate awards. Within the scope of the competition, the urban design proposal authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bora Yerliyurt and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Doruk Özügül was honored with an “Honorable Mention” (Equivalent Mention Award). In the same competition, a project developed by Research Assistant Neslişah Kesici Söylemez and graduate student Selen Öztürk received the “Purchase Award”, further demonstrating the department’s excellence in urban design and planning. These achievements highlight the university’s contribution to innovative urban planning, cultural heritage-sensitive design, and sustainable urban development
