Sustainable Marine Energy Research through TÜBİTAK International Fellowship Program

Dr. Ersegun Deniz Gedikli joined Yıldız Technical University under the TÜBİTAK 2232-A International Leading Researchers Program, bringing his expertise from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His project, titled “Advanced Marine Energy Technologies for a Sustainable Future,” focuses on harnessing the power of waves, tides, and ocean currents to produce clean, renewable energy.

The research aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, improve energy security, and promote sustainable blue energy innovation. Through advanced simulations, design optimization, and field validation, the project enhances energy efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts.

By leveraging Türkiye’s 8,300 km coastline, this initiative also supports the development of local expertise, green employment, and international scientific collaboration.
