T TÜBİTAK 1001: Nanobubble Technology for Waste Management

The project entitled “Improving Oxygen Transfer Efficiency and Waste Decomposition Processes through Nanobubble-Assisted Aeration in Aerobic Landfill Sites,” coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sinan Bilgili from the Department of Environmental Engineering, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program. The project aims to enhance oxygen transfer efficiency through the use of nanobubble technology, thereby accelerating waste stabilization processes and improving the performance of aerobic landfill operations. In addition, the study seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with waste management practices, contributing to more sustainable and environmentally friendly waste treatment systems.
