On 17 December 2024, a technical visit was organized to Birikim Pilleri, a company specializing in advanced battery and energy storage solutions. The program offered students the opportunity to tour the company’s production facilities and R&D center, gaining first-hand insights into cutting-edge developments in battery technologies.
Birikim Pilleri develops and manufactures innovative products across multiple technologies, including lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium, and nickel-metal hydride systems, addressing the needs of diverse sectors such as defense, medical devices, consumer electronics, light electric vehicles, and industrial energy storage. The company also operates under two registered brands:
Power-Xtra – focusing on consumer and industrial batteries, charging systems, and power supplies.
BPM – delivering high-tech, custom battery solutions for specialized sectors in compliance with international standards.
This visit enhanced students’ understanding of energy storage technologies and fostered stronger links between academia and industry in a field central to sustainability and innovation.
