The Defence Industry Summit 2024 marked the third edition of Yıldız Technical University’s flagship event dedicated to national defence technologies and industrial innovation. Hosted at the Historical Hamam in Davutpaşa Campus, the summit convened prominent representatives from Türkiye’s leading defence and technology companies alongside academic experts and aspiring engineers.
The two-day program featured a series of technical presentations, innovation panels, and career-oriented sessions, offering insights into next-generation defence systems, materials science, and digital transformation within the sector. Company stands in the exhibition area provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with human resources professionals regarding internship and career prospects.
The event strengthened university–industry cooperation by creating a direct dialogue between students and professionals in Türkiye’s high-technology and defence sectors. Participants enhanced their understanding of advanced manufacturing, R&D processes, and innovation-driven competitiveness. The summit also contributed to capacity building in strategic technological areas while supporting student employability and sectoral awareness.
