The Health Biotechnology Center of Excellence (SABİOTEK) represents a strategic partnership between Yıldız Technical University (lead institution), Marmara University, and Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa,established to strengthen Türkiye’s competitiveness in the global biotechnology landscape. The center focuses on translational medicine, advanced diagnostics, immunology, virology, molecular biology and genetics, nanobiomaterials, and AI-powered biomedical technologies, aligning its mission with national innovation and health priorities.
SABİOTEK advances global health and well-being by conducting cutting-edge research in diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics, molecular biology, immunology, and medical biotechnology. The center plays a strategic role in strengthening national preparedness against infectious diseases and public health emergencies, while supporting innovation in life-saving technologies, from medical devices to bioinformatics.
