The recital titled “The Light of Cemal Reşid Rey and the Republic in His Memories” organised in collaboration with the YTU Faculty of Art and Design and the Vedat Kosal Music Application and Research Centre, brought together Republic enthusiasm with art. Pianist and composer Dr. Aydın Karlıbel took listeners on a historic musical journey at this special recital in memory of master composer Cemal Reşid Rey. In the final section of the concert, the YTU Music Department Choir, under the direction of Instructor Dr. Olcay Demirci, took the stage, performing Vedat Kosal's 'Türklük Marşı' and Cemal Reşid Rey's '10. Yıl Marşı.'
