Prof. Dr. Tülay Yıldırım, faculty member at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, is leading an innovative research initiative supported by TÜBİTAK 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program, titled “InsulAI: Development of an Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Patient Modeling Method for the Personalization of Smart Insulin Pump Software.”
The InsulAI project aims to develop AI-based smart insulin pump software that enhances the quality of life for diabetes patients through personalized and adaptive treatment solutions. By enabling accurate insulin dosage adjustment without the need for continuous glucose monitoring, the project offers a new perspective on digital health technologies.
Bringing together artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, and software technologies, this interdisciplinary study contributes significantly to digital transformation in healthcare the development of educational and research capacity, and the strengthening of scientific collaboration ecosystems.
