TÜBİTAK 1002: Innovative Nanoparticle System for Breast Cancer Treatment

The project entitled “Investigation of the In Vitro Anticancer Activities of Cationic Anticancer Peptide L-K6-Conjugated and Protocatechuic Acid-Coated Gold Nanoparticles on Breast Cancer Cells,” involving İrem Çoksu, a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering, as a researcher, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002 Rapid Support Program. The project aims to develop an innovative cancer treatment platform by combining the advantages of anticancer peptides and gold nanoparticles. The proposed system is designed to selectively target cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. Through advanced nanobiotechnology approaches, the study seeks to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to the development of next-generation targeted therapies for breast cancer.
