TÜBİTAK 1505: Artificial Intelligence-Based Dimensional Weight Calculation Technology

The project entitled “Development of an Image Processing and Deep Learning-Based Dimensional Weight Calculation Algorithm,” coordinated by Dr. Serkan Saltürk from the Department of Informatics, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1505 University–Industry Collaboration Support Program. The project aims to develop a portable system capable of automatically and accurately calculating the dimensional weight (desi value) of objects in real time using dual-camera mobile devices and deep learning techniques. By combining advanced image processing algorithms with artificial intelligence technologies, the system is expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual measurement errors, and support digital transformation in logistics, transportation, warehousing, and e-commerce applications.
