YTU actively supports the TÜBİTAK 2247-C STAR (Intern Researcher Scholarship Program), which enables undergraduate students and teachers to participate as research fellows in TÜBİTAK-supported and ADEP-funded research projects.
The program aims to help participants gain early research experience, develop R&D competencies, and engage with Türkiye’s national innovation ecosystem. By providing scholarships and mentorship, STAR enhances the research capacity of young individuals while ensuring equal access to scientific education and opportunities regardless of socio-economic background.
This initiative not only strengthens research-oriented education but also supports poverty reduction through equitable access to education and income-generating opportunities.
In addition, it contributes to innovation-driven growth and reinforces partnerships between universities, research institutions fostering a sustainable and inclusive research culture in Türkiye.
