Türkiye Universities Chess Championship

The YTU Chess Club achieved significant successes in both team and individual categories at the Turkey Universities Chess Championship, its first-ever participation. At the championship hosted by Sivas Cumhuriyet University, the YTU team placed 5th among 47 university teams from across Turkey, delivering a remarkable performance in their debut tournament. In the individual category, club athlete Furkan Büke won a silver medal following an outstanding strategic competition. Turkish Heroes Comic Book Series YTU Values Preservation and Promotion Club realised an important cultural project in line with its vision of conveying national values to young generations. The first issue of the “Turkish Heroes Comic Book Series”, prepared by the Mesele Mecmua team within the club, met readers. Inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's words “The Turkish child will find strength within himself to accomplish greater things as he gets to know his ancestors,” the project aims to introduce important figures of Turkish history to young people through a modern narrative language.
