Türkiye's Most Powerful Student-Built Hybrid Rocket: ARTAM-II

The ARTAM-II hybrid-engine rocket, with all subsystems originally developed by the Yıldız Rocket Team, was successfully launched from Hisar Firing Range on 6 September 2025. Carrying the distinction of being Turkey's most powerful student-built hybrid rocket, ARTAM-II reached 8 km altitude and was successfully recovered with all its systems after the mission. This launch, considered a critical milestone in Turkish rocketry history, constitutes an important step in the team's visionary work towards the 100 km altitude target. The project, realised with the support of Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, ROKETSAN, and various stakholders, once again proved the university's advanced engineering capability in defence and space technologies at the national level.
