Türkiye’s Patent Champion

According to the results of the “Türkiye Patent Report 2024” published by Patent Effect, Yıldız Technical University ranked first in Türkiye with 143 patent applications, becoming the country’s leading university in patent generation. Yıldız Technical University demonstrated its strong and diversified innovation capacity by securing first place in Türkiye across five strategic sectors: advanced materials, green technologies, energy, battery systems, manufacturing technologies, and construction technologies. The university also extended its national success to the international arena by achieving: 2nd place in Türkiye for U.S. (US) patent applications, 2nd place in Türkiye for European Patent (EP) applications, 3rd place nationwide with 139 Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications. These achievements highlight the university’s commitment to transforming scientific knowledge into innovative technologies with both national and global impact.
