The project entitled “A Controlled Biphasic Dual Drug Delivery System for Psoriasis: Development of a GelMA-Based Conductive Microneedle Patch Prototype,” led by Gülşah Torkay Çay, a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering, has been selected for funding under the TÜSEB 2025-A3-01 Project Support Program for Doctoral Students. The project aims to develop a conductive GelMA-based microneedle patch system capable of targeted and controlled drug delivery for the treatment of psoriasis. By enabling biphasic drug release and localized administration, the proposed system seeks to improve therapeutic efficacy while reducing the side effects commonly associated with conventional treatment approaches. The study combines advanced biomaterials, drug delivery technologies, and biomedical engineering to create a next-generation therapeutic platform for chronic inflammatory skin diseases.
