Yıldız Technical University achieved a major milestone in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, climbing 11 positions to rank 48th globally, thereby reaching its strategic goal of being among the world’s top 50 most sustainable universities. Among 1,745 universities from 105 countries, YTU maintained its position as the second-ranked university in Türkiye, demonstrating its continued commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This success has been driven by the university’s zero-waste strategies, energy efficiency investments implemented through the KABEV initiative, and technology-oriented green transformation projects. Advancing steadily toward its 2030 Carbon Neutrality Commitment, Yıldız Technical University has reinforced its position not only as a leading higher education institution but also as a global environmental leader committed to responsible and sustainable development.
