The Sustainable Walking event, held on 1 December 2024 at Polonezköy Nature Park, was part of a multi-module Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Education Program jointly organized by Özyeğin University, Yıldız Technical University (YTU), and Yeditepe University.
The activity aimed to promote ecological awareness, biodiversity conservation, and climate action through direct engagement with nature. Guided by Kozalak Foundation experts, participants explored forest ecosystems, local flora and fauna, and discussed climate change impacts and sustainability strategies during the walk.
The event emphasized the interconnection between biodiversity protection, sustainable land management, and climate resilience.
