On 31 January 2024, Yıldız Technical University Construction Society carried out the ‘Village School Renovation and Functioning Project’ within the scope of CivilIstanbul’24 Social Responsibility Initiative. The project involved the renovation of Şehit Halil Üleç Primary School in Sakarya/Akyazı to enhance its functionality, improve learning conditions, and provide children with better educational and social opportunities. By addressing community needs through hands-on student engagement, the initiative supported access to quality education, promoted reduced inequalities, and strengthened social responsibility.
Additionally, this project aims to indirectly support social development through education and to increase awareness of sustainable agriculture and long-term environmental management.
