The Engineering Talks 2024 event aimed to bridge the gap between academic education and industrial practice by bringing together students of engineering disciplines with experts from Türkiye’s leading defence and technology firms. The event hosted industry professionals such as Emre Özbay (Hardware Director, Pavotek), Adem Aygün (Manufacturing Director, Miltaş), and executives from Andasis, who shared their professional experiences, innovation processes, and sectoral insights.
Through panel discussions and experience-sharing sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of R&D operations, production technologies, and engineering management within the national defence ecosystem. The event contributed to students’ professional development by enabling direct interaction with practitioners, enhancing their employability, and fostering sectoral awareness in alignment with Türkiye’s technological innovation agenda.
The series also reinforced YTU’s mission of integrating theoretical learning with practical industry engagement, promoting innovation-driven engineering education.
