Established as a central scientific hub, YTU Central Research Laboratory operates with a comprehensive infrastructure that integrates advanced analytical instruments across multiple thematic laboratories, including elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, thermal analysis, X-ray, electron microscopy, surface and pore characterization, particle characterization, spectroscopy, mechanical testing, cell culture, and general-use research spaces. Adhering to principles of impartiality, confidentiality, and scientific rigor, the center provides high-quality research and analysis services to both internal users and external organizations. Through its open-access model, the laboratory supports industry partners, public institutions, and independent researchers by offering device-based analyses alongside academic consultancy when needed. By responding to external requests and enabling stakeholders to benefit from university-level scientific infrastructure, YTU MerLab strengthens evidence-based decision making, supports innovation, and enhances the research capacity of the broader community.
