In 2024, Yıldız Technical University continued its strong progress in global sustainability performance, rising to 59th place worldwide in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, up four positions from the previous year. The ranking evaluated 1,477 universities across 95 countries, recognizing institutions with demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, and green campus development.
YTU’s advancement reflects strategic investments in renewable aset production, water efficiency, waste management and recycling systems, sustainable transportation initiatives, and low-carbon campus infrastructure. The university continues to implement climate-conscious programs and policies that promote environmental stewardship, campus decarbonization, and responsible resource management.
