Yıldız Technical University’s Disability Student Coordination Unit ensures equitable access to education, campus life, and learning resources for students with disabilities. The unit provides accessibility support, academic accommodations, and individualized guidance in line with national and international disability rights standards. Through its collaboration with the “Konuşan Kütüphane” (Talking Library) platform, visually impaired students can access requested books in audio or accessible PDF formats, while volunteers contribute to expanding accessible materials. The unit’s mission and vision emphasize safeguarding the educational rights of disabled students, promoting full participation in academic and social life, and ensuring unhindered access to all campus facilities, services, and information resources. These coordinated efforts strengthen inclusion, reduce educational barriers, and advance equal participation for disabled students across the university.
