Şebnem Aybige Barlas from Ökotek Çevre was hosted at the Faculty of Civil Engineering Conference Hall.In the training session titled "Circular Water Management", participants explored innovative strategies for sustainable water use. The session focused on minimizing water waste, reusing and recycling water resources, and integrating closed-loop systems in urban and industrial water management. Through real-life case studies and practical insights, Ms. Barlas emphasized the importance of designing water systems that reduce dependency on freshwater sources and lower environmental impact—key goals aligned with both national sustainability agendas and global climate targets. Under her guidance, attendees gained a deeper understanding of how circular practices can be implemented at both local and systemic levels, from rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse to advanced treatment technologies in infrastructure planning.
This engaging and informative session not only broadened participants’ perspectives but also inspired future action toward more resilient and resource-efficient water systems.
