YTU Psychological Counseling Unit Continues to Support Student Well-Being in 2024

In 2024, the Psychological Counseling Unit operating under the YTU Office of the Dean of Students continued to provide psychological support services to university students through face-to-face, online, and e-mail applications. A total of 221 students applied for individual psychological support, with 149 students successfully completing the counseling process.

Applications were received through various channels, including face-to-face interviews (6), e-mail (35), and the online appointment system (180), reflecting the unit’s accessibility and inclusiveness in mental health support.

Throughout the year, the expert team—consisting of professional psychologists, psychological counselors, and volunteer practitioners—conducted 1,948 individual sessions and 101 preliminary consultations, amounting to a total of 2,049 counseling interactions.

Donation ot LÖSEV YTU LÖSEV carried out another meaningful solidarity initiative by donating all proceeds generated from the workshops organized within the club to LÖSEV (The Foundation for Children with Leukemia).

The funds were allocated to support the treatment and educational expenses of children living with leukemia. Club members expressed their gratitude to all students who contributed to the initiative by participating in workshops and supporting the campaign.
