YTU organized a two-day technical trip to Ankara on May 2–3, 2024, providing students with the opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world professional environments.
On the first day, participants visited Mescioğlu Engineering, the General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems (CBS), and Atay Engineering, where they were introduced to current applications of geospatial technologies and engineering practices. These visits allowed students to deepen their understanding of how geographic information and engineering design are integrated into national-scale projects.
The second day included a comprehensive program featuring a visit to the TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute (UZAY), where students engaged with experts on satellite systems, space research, and technological innovation. The group also visited Anıtkabir, strengthening their awareness of national heritage, and the Chamber of Survey and Cadastre Engineers (HKMO), which provided insights into professional standards and career pathways in the field.
