Abstract

Personnel selection process is one of the most important and complex subject of human resource management because it necessitates taking into considerations many alternatives. The purpose of this study is to take personnel selection process implemented in a company as a multi-criteria decision-making problem and perform the optimum personnel selection according to multiple criteria. AHP and TOPSIS, multiple criteria decision making methods, are applied together to select the most suitable personnel for a business firm. In this graduation project, four main criterias and also some sub-criterias of these are defined with the aim of selection of concerned personnel. These definitions are completed with the joint work of Human Resources specialists and relevant department managers. Finally, the most important criterion is determined as “Technical Evaluation” and among the present suppliers of the business firm, “Applicant 1” is selected as Best Sales Specialist Candidate which has the highest score.
