Abstract
Art education plays a critical role in enhancing children's creativity, problem-solving skills, and emotional intelligence. Museums, in particular, offer a unique environment for children in terms of art education and experience. Art contributes significantly to a child's self-awareness, the expression of impressions and emotions related to their environment, and the ability to do so freely. Art education not only allows children to express their emotions and thoughts freely but also facilitates their socialization. In this regard, besides acquiring socialization and free expression skills, children learn to share and collaborate. It is observed that children achieve these gains through art education provided in schools and children's workshops created in museums. In this article, the topic of art education for children in museums is discussed, and one of the exemplary practices in this field, TATE Museum, is examined and researched. TATE Museum enables children to interact more closely with art by offering special programs and activities that emphasize the impact of art on child development.Art education is an important tool not only for enhancing individuals' creativity and imagination but also for increasing problem-solving abilities and strengthening emotional intelligence. Museums, by providing unique environments that support this process, encourage children to interact with and learn from art directly. TATE Museum offers various programs and resources to fulfill this important mission.
