Abstract

In this work, Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm based component value selection method is proposed for analog active filter. The aim of this work is to minimize the total design error of a 4th order Butterworth low pass active filter that would be realized with component values which are compatible with E12 series. Passive component values of filter have been selected with the aid of ABC optimization method in short time with high accuracy and maximally flat response is obtained in the pass band of the active filter circuit which was designed using those passive components.
