Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of curriculum to design democratic education environment. Delphi technique that would enable experts to reach a consensus was used. 61 items have been determined as the characteristics of curriculum in a democratic education environment at the end of three-round Delphi study. As a conclusion, to design democratic education environment, all components of the curriculum are needed to be taken into consideration; participation principle of democracy need to be performed when any decision is made for any components of curriculum and individual differences of students are needed to be taken into consideration.
