Abstract
Chords with non-chord tones (CNTs), which are encountered in many of Domenico Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas, are one of the most significant features that form the harmonic language of the composer. However, it is remarkable that no analytical study has been found focusing on the theoretical aspect of the CNTs in the literature.
