Abstract

In this study, a Gauss-Markoff model with unknown variance components belonging to each gravity meter used for measuring of a gravity network is considered. The Marmara Gravity Network is used for the numerical examples. The periods of the network are adjusted separately for the two cases; (1) the gravity meters' observations are weighted equally, (2) weighted according to the estimated components with BIQUE method. Then, the annual gravity changes referred to the statistically verified points using geometrical deformation analysis are compared for each case. As a result of the comparison, it is shown that the changes vary each other significantly.
