Abstract

An important difference between next generation 5G and beyond technologies is considered as the supporting of more diverse users with different demands. Current waveforms are not able to fulfill these requirements because of their shortcomings. Especially, it is necessary to find novel waveforms that are used either instead of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) or modifications on it. The waveforms based on filter bank multi carrier systems were proposed as novel waveforms. In this study, we propose a multi-carrier waveform based on filter bank systems for the users that have different data rate demands. This proposed method is provided to share frequency ranges according to data rates of user. The method is realized with mathematical theory and tested through computer simulations, also compared with the filtered multitone (FMT) structure.
