Financial Support And Employment Policy Of The Ottoman Empire Towards The Emigrants Of The Balkan Wars

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out thepurposes of the financial support and employment policy applied by the Ottoman Empireto the immigrants of the Balkan Wars. This study based on Ottoman archivesources and books and works written on this subject. The laws and theinstructions by the Ottoman Empire regarding financial support and employmentpolicy were supported with examples related to the subject from the archivesources. The practical applications of the laws enacted towards immigrants havebeen determined with some examples. It was understood that the policies putforward by the Ottoman Empire in the employment of immigrants were aimed atboth the immigrants and the state’s interests. It is aimed that the exemplarypractices that can be obtained in this study will be guide to the future studies on immigrants financial support and employment.
