Abstract

An innovative method of producing energy, flexible solar cells were created to satisfy the need for lightweight, portable, and versatile power sources. Flexible solar cells are perfect for situations where regular solar modules are impracticable since they can bend, fold, or adapt to curved surfaces, unlike classic rigid photovoltaic technology. This chapter examines the components, production processes, and uses that have fueled the development of flexible solar cells. We look at how these cells are developing to satisfy energy requirements in urban infrastructure, wearable technology, and portable electronics, as well as the possibility of application in distant and space settings.
