Abstract

Ilkokul Ogrencilerinin Alan Olcme Konusundaki Tahmin Performanslarinin Belirlenmesi Determination of Estimation Performances of Primary School Students about Area Measurement Subject Yrd. Doc. OZET Turkiye’de Milli Egitim Bakanliginin (MEB) yeniledigi ilkokul matematik ogretim programinda ogrenme alanlarindan olcmede “alan olcme” konusu ile ilgili kazanimlar 3. ve 4. Sinif duzeylerinde bulunmaktadir. Ilgili kazanimlar incelendiginde “Bir alani, standart olmayan alan olcme birimleriyle tahmin eder ve birimleri sayarak tahminini kontrol eder” seklinde ogrencilerin tahmin yapma becerilerini etkin kilmaya yonelik bir kazanimin var oldugu gorulur. Buradan yola cikilarak bu calismada ilkokul 4. Sinif duzeyindeki ogrencilerin olcmede alan konusundaki tahmin performanslarinin belirlenmesi amaclanmistir. Veriler Turkiye’de 2016-2017 egitim ogretim yilinda ilkokul 4. Sinif duzeyinde ogrenim goren 56 ogrenciden toplanmistir. Arastirmada nitel arastirma yontemi kullanilmistir. Nitel arastirmada, arastirmanin problemine ait veri katilimcilarin dogal ortaminda arastirilir. Ayrica olay ve algilarin derinlemesine betimleme ve yorumlanmasi soz konusudur (Creswell, 2014). Elde edilen veriler icerik analizi ile analiz edilmis sonuclar arastirmacilar tarafindan yorumlanarak onerilerde bulunulmustur. © 2017 PESA Tum haklari saklidir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Ilkokul Ogrencileri, Tahmin Becerileri, Olcmede Alan, Matematik Egitimi ABSTRACT In the primary school mathematics curriculum, which is renewed by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) in Turkey, the achievements related to measurement are measured at the 3rd and 4th grade levels. When the relevant achievements are examined, it can be seen that there is an achievement to make the students' ability to make predictions in the form of estimating an area with non-standard area measuring units and controlling the prediction by counting units. In this study, it was aimed to determine the estimation performance of the students in the 4th grade of elementary school in the field of measurement. The data were collected from 56 students attending primary school grade 4 in 2016-2017 educational year in Turkey . Qualitative research method was used in the research. In the qualitative research, the data of the research problem is searched in the natural environment of the participants. There is also a deep description and interpretation of events and perceptions (Creswell, 2014).The data were analyzed by content analysis.
