Abstract
This study assesses the pozzolanic activity of Cappadocia volcanic waste soils (CWs) using established methodologies and explores their potential for diverse applications. Targeted research aims to reduce visual pollution, and repurpose waste into economic resources and engineering materials, thereby safeguarding the cultural and natural heritage of the region. While Frattini test results confirm pozzolanic traits in most CWs, discrepancies arise in the strength activity index that necessitate further investigation. Compressive strength and electrical conductivity tests emerge as suitable alternatives, albeit with varying durations. Despite methodological variations, all CW samples exhibit pozzolanic properties, with CW4 showing the highest pozzolanicity. This study features the versatility of CWs, emphasizing their role and economic feasibility in construction, environmental engineering, agriculture, and industrial applications. Harnessing these materials promotes sustainable waste management and heritage conservation, offering a promising solution to the region's waste challenges.
